The Green Book, A Book of County Facts, 2nd Edition

Forward Analytics, the research division of the Wisconsin Counties Association, has announced the publication of The Green Book, A Book of County Facts, 2nd Edition.

This fact book provides a wide range of information on county government structure, county population and economies, county finances, and development. New this year is information on veterans and school-age populations.

“Our counties perform critical functions on behalf of the state, and our county governments strive to provide a vast array of services in the most efficient and cost-effective manner possible,” said Forward Analytics Director of Research Dale Knapp. “To successfully carry out its mission, we need long range and strategic thinking.  The information included in this edition is vital as counties evolve to meet the changing needs of citizens and businesses across Wisconsin.”

County officials can use the data contained in The Green Book, A Book of County Facts, for a variety of purposes, including gauging future service needs, economic development planning, and forecasting revenues and expenditures.

“We are excited to issue the latest version of The Green Book, A Book of County Facts,” said Knapp.  “It’s our hope that county officials continue to use the document to better serve their constituents and their communities.”
