The Green Book, A Book of County Facts, 3rd Edition

Forward Analytics, the research division of the Wisconsin Counties Association, has released the 3rd Edition of The Green Book, A Book of County Facts.

This fact book provides a wide range of information on county government structure, county population and economies, county finances, development, veterans and school-age populations.

“Counties are performing critical functions on behalf of the state and work tirelessly to provide a wide range of services in the most efficient manner possible, always with an eye on cost,” said Forward Analytics Director Dale Knapp.

Knapp continued, “Especially now in these uncertain times, counties need long-term and strategic thinking to successfully carry out their mission. The data in this 3rd edition is vital as counties continue to evolve to address the complex needs of our citizens and our communities across Wisconsin.”

County officials can use the data contained in The Green Book, a Book of County Facts, for a variety of purposes, including gauging future service needs, economic development planning, and forecasting revenues and expenditures.

“Now more than ever, the information within the latest The Green Book, a Book of County Facts is important for county officials as they navigate decision making that will position their county for the best possible place in the future,” said Knapp. “We are excited to release this resource for our members and it’s our hope that officials use the document to better serve their constituents and their county.”
